The Money Wrangler didn’t start with a polished business plan or a lightbulb moment. It started with founder Kate Hufnagel sitting at kitchen tables across the Colorado Springs area, noticing the same thing showing up underneath everything else.
Kate spent years helping individuals and families wrangle the stuff that quietly piles up: passwords, digital records, documents that were always one drawer away from being lost. But the deeper she got into that work, the more she kept finding unpaid bills, confused accounts and financial tasks that had slowly become too much for one person to carry. Nobody was dropping the ball on purpose. Life had just gotten heavy.
Sometimes it was grief, or a health change, or a spouse who had always handled the money. Sometimes it was simply the quiet exhaustion of keeping up with a financial world that keeps getting more complicated. Capable people. Doing their best. Kate Hufnagel founded The Money Wrangler after noticing the same thing while working with clients: capable people quietly overwhelmed by the financial details of everyday life. Finance runs in her family. Her father spent 45 years in banking and her brother has built his entire career there. An engineer by education, Kate brings that same precision and systematic thinking to every home she walks into, making sure the bills are paid, the details are right and nothing falls through the cracks.
